The Park

An outstanding spectacle of lush gardens nestled in a Grand Cru Classé property.

A unique combination of French gardens, English lawns, orange groves and orchards in the heart of Saint Julien.

The park of this Saint Julien estate has been lovingly shaped and crafted over the generations. It is planted primarily with oak trees, some of which are hundreds of years old.

The gardens stretch over 4 hectares of land and offer both a classic French style, with 1.2 km of magnificent, carefully trimmed ornamental hedges and a touch of English style thanks to their 8000 m² of immaculate lawns. The English gardens are planted with an endless variety of plants, shrubs and flowers including 140 plumbago plants.

The highlight of the gardens at Langoa Barton is, without a doubt, the beautiful roses. Over 1000 rose bushes are planted at the domaine, of which there are around thirty different varieties including the ''Thomas Barton'' and the ''Léoville Barton''.

A pond built in 1998 at the back of the house is an ode to romanticism. This delightful, secret place, complete with waterlilies and goldfish, is a true haven of serenity.

The orange grove is, in fact, composed of 27 varieties of citrus plants including orange, lemon, mandarine and grapefruit trees as well as around twenty different small citrus fruits such as kaffir lime, fingerlime and lime.
